The Bingara Newsagency was established in1936 when Harold Batterham started the business. Rod King became only the third owner when he purchased it in 1988 and he has added an online presence to the main-street shop.

It is located in the historic gold-mining town of Bingara (NSW). A small town where everyone knows everyone else and success is based on trust and a great range products, including history books.

Incidentally, Rod lives and raises Angus cattle on land his great grandfather settled on in the 1880s - 10 years after diamonds had been discovered on it. He has history in his DNA.
