"Bushmen Soldiers at War" is one of the most moving books in the Bingara Historical Society's remarkable collection. Written by the late Ron Irlam, it is a deeply respectful study of the endeavours, valour, suffering and sacrifice of young country men and women who left the rolling hills of New England to fight for the way of life of all Australians during World War II.
